The BTRDA (British Trial and Rally Drivers Association) will be holding a Motorsport Open Day at Catton Hall, near Burton upon Trent, on Saturday 18 August.

The day will be a chance for everyone, from people not involved in the sport to current competitors, young and old, to come and try out, for free, different forms of motorsport including grass autotesting and production car trials and find out more about getting involved.

The reigning BTRDA Gold Star Sporting Trials champion team will be at the event giving demonstration rides up sections and a number of cars will be on display from all disciplines of motorsport, including rally cars and rallycross cars. Enthusiastic competitors will also be on hand to give advice on how to get into the sport and have a chat.

BTRDA president Mike Broad said: “The event has been organised by our younger members and is designed to be a fun day where everyone can find out information about getting involved in different types of motorsport.

“There is the opportunity to have a go at some disciplines, have passenger rides, see a variety of different cars from all areas of the sport and talk to competitors and enthusiasts already involved in the sport. It is a unique chance for people to come and gain an insight into motorsport and it’s all free.”

The BTRDA Motorsport Open Day at Catton Hall will form part of National Motorsport Week, which runs from Saturday 11 August to Sunday 19 August and will start at 10.30am running through to around 4.00pm. Refreshments will also be available.
