This rally is run by the enormously experienced Knutsford Motor Club. Alan Rogers Historic Road Rally - Sunday April 2nd - Round 2
This rally is one for the navigators. This year it is based at Chard in Somerset and will be venturing into Devon to use the Wiscombe Hillclimb and Smeatharpe Airfield for special tests.
Ilkley Jubilee Historic Rally - Sunday April 9th - Round 3
It's always a delight to drive this rally, through the spectacular scenery of the Yorkshire Dales, but unfortunately you do meet a lot of tourists if it happens to be a nice day. Varied plot and bash navigation will keep the navigator busy, but 'Henry's helpful hints' are there to aid beginners.
East Anglian Classic - Saturday April 22nd - Round 4
Previously run as a full weekender event, this year there will be a separate daytime-only rally on the Saturday which will be our championship qualifier. Any Clubmans Championship contenders entering the full weekend event, which includes a night section, will be classified for championship points based on their performance on the Saturday daytime leg. Sculthorpe airfield will be providing some excellent special tests.
Hughes Rally - Sunday June 4th - Round 5
Running on the quiet roads of Kent , including the infamous Romney Marshes, the Hughes Rally is known for its very simple navigation, with much of the route in a tulip roadbook. There are usually 4 or 5 regularity sections and about 8 special tests.
Leukaemia Rally - Sunday June 25th - Round 6
This rally runs in South Wales and has a reputation for excellent special tests although some can be a little rough. Previous events have had a forest roads regularity section and used the private MoD roads at Caerwent for a lot of long special tests. Regularity sections are kept simple, and the navigation is not at all difficult.
Ross Traders Historic Tour - Saturday July 29th - Round 7
The Ross Traders, based at Ross-on-Wye, is a popular rally with straightforward navigation on the regularity sections. The Forest of Dean, the Wye Valley and the Black Mountains usually provide the scenery and the finish is always at the Ross Motor Sports Clubhouse in the centre of Ross-on-Wye, where the ladies of the club do some excellent catering.
Please note that this date is correct. The date published in the HRCR Calendar is wrong.
Devonian Rally - Sunday September 24th - Round 8
Great driver's event with good roads, good test venues and simple regularity sections in South Devon, based not far from Exeter and the end of the M5. Organised by the Torbay Motor Club.
Regis Rally - Saturday October 14th - Round 9
Another event for the navigators, this one is in West Sussex and is run by the Bognor Regis Motor Club. With tests at Goodwood, there is usually a chance to drive the Festival of Speed Hillclimb route. Some route information is sent with the final instructions, which is a great help to novices.
