Pritchard ready for tough tarmac test

21 year old Builth Wells resident Jason Pritchard is ready for this weekends high speed Jim Clark International Rally, one of the most challenging rallies of the year, and also the first tarmac event of his 2010 Dulux Trade MSA British Rally Championship campaign.
Pritchard, a double two wheel drive British champion, made the step up to a North Road Garage, FCS Laser Mail and Total Impreza Magazine backed Subaru Impreza N16 at the beginning of the year and has adapted well to the transition, already taking an outright victory in the car and is currently lying third overall in the premier series of British rallying!
As Pritchard had never driven a four wheel drive in anger on tarmac before he recently contested the Welsh Rally over the Epynt Military Ranges and despite taking it easy the talented rally driver still won Group N on the event which bodes well for this weekend!
I might have had a good run over Epynt recently but the Jim Clark is a very different rally. It is probably the fastest rally we will do this year but at least I have an idea of how the car behaves on tarmac and am really looking forward to continuing my learning curve!
The Jim Clark International Rally is based in Kelso, Scotland and takes place on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 May. The crews will face over 130 miles of high speed action spread over 14 special stages. The first car departs the start at 7pm on Friday evening and is due back at the ceremonial finish at approximately 5pm on Saturday afternoon.
