15th/16th March 2008: EMC Promotions Ltd in association with Exeter Motor Club are pleased to welcome you to the inaugural running of the The Perry Roe Memorial Rally and The Perry Roe Memorial Historic Rally 2008. The Perry Roe Memorial Rally is a round of the MB Caravans South West ASWMC Open, Novice and Historic Road Rally Championships. Many of you will know that Perry was tragically killed in August 2006 whilst on holiday with his family. To many of us Perry was a great navigator but he was also a wonderful husband and parent. For this reason his family will play a very active role in this event, as Perry would wish. In fact Perry's daughter designed the cover of these regulations. The event will start and finish at The Fox and Hounds Country Hotel, Eggesford, Devon. We will provide approximately 150 miles of prime Devon roads (no whites) on Maps 191, 181 & 180 (said by many to match anything Wales can offer). The first continuous 65 mile section leads to petrol then it's 80 odd miles back to the finish, non stop again!! Navigation instructions will be simple, we want you all to finish and enjoy 'The Perry' Entry fee of £75 includes two excellent breakfasts and 150 miles of Classic Devon Lanes. We look forward to seeing you on the night. If you are unable to compete then please consider offering your help as a Marshal. Free breakfasts (max. two per crew) will be available to those who marshal. If you would like to marshal, please register your interest (and get the best controls) by phoning the Chief Marshal, Yvonne Summerscales on 01392 420158 (before 9pm please).
