The Silverstone Tyres BTRDA Rally Series Website: http://www.btrdarally.co.uk/ Region: National The Silverstone Tyres BTRDA Rally Series in 2009 will consist of eight classic one day National B forest events. The most significant date change is that the Plains Rally has moved from September back to its traditional May date whilst the Cambrian Rally and the Quinton Stages have also moved slightly to improve the spread of Championship dates. A competitor’s best six scores will count to the final points total. BTRDA Rally Series Calendar 2009. February 7th - Wyedean* - Chepstow March 7th - Malcolm Wilson - Cockermouth April 25th - Somerset* - Minehead May 16th - Plains* - Welshpool June 13th - Dukeries* - Southwell July 4th - Quinton* - Llandovery September 5th - Woodpecker* - Ludlow October 17th - Cambrian* - Llandudno The Silverstone Tyres BTRDA Rally Series includes the highly competitive BTRDA Gold Star Championship and the BTRDA Silver Star Championship exclusively for two wheel drive cars, along with the popular BTRDA 1400 Championship running in advance of the main field. The BTRDA Rally First Challenge which was introduced earlier this year to provide forest rallying at the lowest cost will run on 7 of the above events (marked *) with best 5 scores to count. BTRDA Rally First has made a good start this year and we are looking to make it even more attractive next year. The BTRDA plus many of the 2008 Rally First competitors will be holding a Rally First Open Day at the Rallyschool.co.uk premises near Whitchurch on Sunday 14th December. More details shortly. Next year (2009) will be the 55th running of the BTRDA Gold Star and BTRDA Silver Star Rally Championships.
