Julian Wilkes and Richard Millener claimed maximum points in the 1400 Rally Club standings as they finished as the first 1400 crew on Saturday’s (16 June) Dukeries Rally. Wilkes and Millener ended-up 44 seconds ahead of the Proton Satria of Neil Weaver and Nick Thornton in their Vauxhall Nova to take 30 points on the 1400 Rally Club leaderboard. The crew were also 25th overall and winners of class B9. Justin Lawson and Paul Hargreaves came home third in their class B9 Vauxhall Nova to clinch 27 points, followed by John Lowe and Gary Green, who sit in third place in the overall standings after collecting 26 points following the 45-mile Sherwood Forest-based gravel event. The table continues to be headed by Clive Wheeler and Ken Bartram, who were not competing on the Dukeries, with 103 points followed by Martin Shaw and Ian Prout, who picked-up 25 points on Saturday as they finished fifth, on 101 points. Other points scorers on the Dukeries Rally included class B8 winners Brian McGuinness and Ian Harden in their Vauxhall Nova, Dale Glover and Sean Ward, who won class N1 in their Nova and class A5 winners Simon Evans and Guy Simmons in their Nissan Micra.
